一、招聘岗位:医学部主任

(一)招聘条件

1.遵守中华人民共和国宪法和法律法规,热爱高等教育事业,学风正派、治学严谨、为人师表,具有良好的品行。

2.熟悉高等教育规律,具备良好的行政管理经验和水平,具备较强的团队协作和统筹协调能力。

3.具有强烈的事业心和责任感,对医学学科建设具有战略性构想和创新性思维,具备引领学科创新发展的能力。

4.具有医学学科专业背景和研究经历,学术造诣高深,在本学科领域取得国际同行公认的学术成就。

5.身心健康,年龄一般不超过55周岁,学术业绩特别突出者,年龄可适当放宽。

(二)岗位职责

1.全面主持医学部教学科研和行政管理工作。

2.全面推进医学学科建设,把握学科发展方向,显著提升医学学科在国内的学术地位和影响力。

3.加强医学部师资队伍建设,大力引进和培育高层次人才,加强教学、科研团队建设,打造高水平特色学科团队;优化师资队伍结构,全面提升师资队伍水平。

4.推进医学教学与课程体系改革,创新人才培养模式,提升医学人才培养质量。

5.实施国际化战略,加强对外合作与交流,提高学部国际化水平。

6.加强产学研结合,瞄准国家重大战略和经济社会发展重大需求,推动与相关产业的合作,为国家和地方经济社会建设服务。

(三)聘期及待遇 

1.首聘期为五年,三年后进行中期考核,考核合格续聘。

2.在聘期内,年薪人民币80万元起(税前);按照学校引进高层次人才相关政策享受安家补贴、学术启动经费;提供充足的办公实验室用房,支持组建科研团队,博、硕士招生指标予以政策性倾斜。其中,院士及相当水平高层次人才年薪及优惠待遇另议。

3.提供全装修的过渡性人才公寓,拎包入住;协助解决配偶工作及子女入学,提供附属医院便捷就医条件。

4.对工作和生活条件有特殊要求的,具体面议。

二、招聘岗位:政治与公共管理学院院长

(一)招聘条件

1.遵守中华人民共和国宪法和法律法规,热爱高等教育事业,学风正派、治学严谨、为人师表,具有良好的品行。

2.熟悉高等教育规律,具备良好的行政管理经验和水平,具备较强的团队协作和统筹协调能力。

4.具有哲学、政治学、公共管理等学科专业背景和研究经历,学术造诣高深,在本学科领域取得国际同行公认的学术成就。

5.身心健康,年龄一般不超过55周岁,学术业绩特别突出者,年龄可适当放宽。

2.推进哲学、政治学、公共管理等学科建设,把握学科发展方向,对学院学科进行战略结构调整,显著提升学院相关学科在国内的学术地位和影响力。

6.加强学院与政府部门的交流与合作,关注国家、地方经济社会发展需求,积极建言献策,切实发挥思想库和智囊团作用。

College Deans/Directors Wanted Worldwide:

Soochow University Notice

Located in the historically and culturally renowned city of Suzhou, known as “Paradise on Earth”, Soochow University is a Key National “Project 211” university, and one of the first institutions covered by “Plan 2011” in China. It is listed among the “Double First-Class” Initiative and jointly funded by the Ministry of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government. It is also a key comprehensive university sponsored by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government.

Soochow University aims to become an important base for the training of high-quality talents in innovation and entrepreneurship, high-level scientific research, high-tech R&D, as well as high-level decision-making counseling. It endeavors to become a research university of global repute and visibility. Available now are two vacancies for college deans/directors at Soochow University. We sincerely invite experts and scholars of related disciplines to join us. The details are as follows.

Ⅰ. Director of the Medical College, Soochow University

1. Requirements:

  (1)Abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, be passionate about the cause of higher education, reputable in research, be a role model for students, have good conduct;

  (2)Be familiar with higher education, have sound administrative experience and ability, have good capabilities of team cooperation and overall coordination;

  (3)Have a strong sense of dedication and responsibility, be able to develop medical disciplines with strategic ideas and innovative thinking, and lead the innovative development of the discipline;

  (4)Have professional background and profound knowledge in the discipline, have gained internationally recognized academic achievements in this field; and

  (5)Be physically and mentally healthy, not over 55 years old in principle with the exception of experts of outstanding academic achievements and contribution.

2. Responsibilities

  (1)To preside over the teaching, research, and administration management of the Medical College.

  (2)To promote the construction of medical disciplines in an all-round way with a firm grasp of the direction of its development, and significantly enhance the academic status and influence of medical disciplines in China.

  (3)To build a strong teaching faculty for the college, vigorously introduce and cultivate high-level professionals, organize high-level discipline teams with their own characteristics, optimize the structure of the faculty, and comprehensively improve its quality.

  (4)To promote the reform of medical teaching and curriculum system, innovate talents training mode, and improve the quality of medical personnel training.

  (5)To implement the internationalization strategy, strengthen foreign cooperation and exchanges, and improve the level of internationalization of the college.

  (6)To advance the industry-university-research collaboration, focus on the major national initiatives and needs of economic and social development, promote cooperation with related industries in order to serve the national and local economic and social development.

3. Terms of employment and benefits

  (1)The first employment term is five years. A mid-term assessment will be carried out after the first three years and the contract will be renewed if qualifications are met.

  (2)RMB 800,000 or more (before tax) annually within the employment term. Settling-in allowance and research funding are provided according to the policies of high-level expert recruitment of Soochow University. Other benefits include spatial offices and labs, support for establishing research groups, and priority in recruiting students. Tailor-made pay and benefits apply to Academicians or experts of the same caliber (to be defined by Soochow University). 

  (3)Fully decorated short-term accommodation, job and school recommendations for spouse and children and convenient health care.

  (4)Specific requirements regarding work and life conditions can be discussed in person.

Ⅱ. Dean of School of Politics and Public Administration, Soochow University

1. Requirements:

  (1)Abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, be passionate about the cause of higher education, reputable in research, be a model for students, have good conduct;

  (2)Be familiar with higher education, have sound administrative experience and ability, have good capabilities of team cooperation and overall coordination;

  (3)Have a strong sense of dedication and responsibility, be able to develop the school with strategic ideas and innovative thinking, and lead the innovative development of the discipline;

  (4)Have professional background and research experiences in the disciplines of philosophy, politics or public administration, have profound knowledge in the disciplines, have gained internationally recognized academic achievements in this field; and

  (5)Be physically and mentally healthy, generally not over 55 years old; can be relaxed with outstanding academic achievements.

2. Responsibilities

  (1)To preside over the teaching, research, and administrative management of the school.

  (2)To promote the construction of philosophy, politics and public administration disciplines in an all-round way with a firm grasp of its direction of development, and significantly enhance the academic status and influence of the disciplines in China.

  (3)To build a strong team of teaching faculty for the college, vigorously introduce and cultivate high-level talents, organize high-level discipline teams with its own characteristic, optimize the structure of teaching faculty, and comprehensively improve the quality of teaching faculty.

  (4)To promote the reform of teaching and curriculum system, innovate talents training mode, and improve the quality of personnel training.

  (5)To implement the internationalization strategy, strengthen foreign cooperation and exchanges, and improve the level of internationalization of the college.

  (6)To advance the cooperation between the school and the government, focus on the national and local needs of economic and social development, actively contribute suggestions to the government in order to serve the function as a think tank.

3.  Terms of employment and benefits
